Is there an IR remote that will start and stop in the movie mode on Alpha 7ii?

Aren't you able to use your phone? My A7iv has the ability to but haven't got it to work yet.

Not sure the A7II had that capability, the A7 IV is multiple generations newer. It may be worth for the OP to check into

You can operate this product and shoot images using the SHUTTER button, 2SEC button (2 second delay shutter), and START/STOP button (or Movie button (RMT-DSLR2 only)) on the RMT-DSLR1 Wireless Remote Commander (sold separately) and RMT-DSLR2 (sold separately). Refer also to the operating instructions for the Wireless Remote Commander.
