Hi I have an a7rii. Second hand. The menu settings are scrolling by themselves rendering the camera completely unusable. Can't get to any setting i want. Can't even get to the reset setting. Anyone had this issue before? Thumb dial was always a little bit illogical but was manageable. Everything is totally screwed now. Would draining internal battery re set something?

Check your user manual.  There may be a way to RESET the factory defaults through a "back door", such as pressing a particular button while you turn the camera ON -- or when you press the MENU button -- like when you update the firmware.  My guess is that the dial needs to be replaced.
