Hey All, has anyone used a Sigma 16mm 1.4 on an a7r ii? I have it laying around still in the box and I’m heading to the PNW and thought I’d give it a try. Obviously not FF, but still should be about 24mm roughly? Typically using a mix of Sony lenses but thought it was worth a try to ask if anyone had tried.

thanks in advance!

Hi mrtoddwayne,

You may be interested in this: A7r ii landscape . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

If you use the 16mm on a full frame camera like the A7Rii, it will give you a 16mm focal length and you will get heavy vignetting.

If you step into APS-C mode you will get a view equivalent to 24mm, as you say, but the resolution is cut to about 18Mp.

Worth a try if you've got it!
