Hi all!

I have recently purchased a Sony a6000 for landscape and underwater photos. I have an 8in dry port dome for shooting underwater and have been looking into getting a wide angle lens to add to my set up. I know Sony makes a lens but am also interested in practical reviews of the major lenses on the market that will work with my camera. 

Any advice or articles you can point in my direction would be greatly appreciated! I've read several reviews and forums but they all seem to be contradicting each other and I end up being left where I started.

Check out the following options:

Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN (awesome wide-angle but a bit large: may not fit your dome)

Sony Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 (expensive but pseudo-macro and nice rendering)

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (great general purpose option)

 

None of these are stabilized by the way so they're not really suited for video on a non-stabilized camera. You didn't mention you take video, but just in case.
