December 10, 20204 yr So I made a mistake. While traveling on an airplane, pre-Covid times, I put my camera into my luggage, rather than bringing it in a carry-on. Because of the extreme cold, my camera battery, from what I believe, must have expanded inside the camera. To my surprise, a pair of fresh batteries turned the camera on! I replaced each battery that was damaged during this flight, however after a few seconds the camera displays the incompatible battery message, then turns off. I should consider myself lucky that nothing worse happened, but is there anything that I can do to fix my Sony a7R? I don’t mind ordering pieces online and fixing it myself. Let me know your thoughts :)
