June 25, 201510 yr This is a very small, cheap and light lens with surprisingly good performance. Built quality is not great, other Minoltas feels nicer the corners sharpen up surprisingly fast, better than with any other 50 from the era I have used lateral CA and Distortion are very well corrected it is very light and small bokeh is okay All in all a very capable lens which often sells for $10. A little more detail can be found in my full Minolta MD 50mm 1:2 review

July 12, 201510 yr Thanks for the inspiration on this! I had one in an old bag that I didn't even bother to test since I have a few 50 mm's. Have used it at a few occasions now and it looks nice.
