I understand that I am in the learning phases of the A7rii so please bear with me.
My first question is in regard to the electronic level. On a tripod with a geared tripod head I am amazed at how much physical adjustment I can tilt or rotate (on the horizontal plane) before the electronic level goes from green to brown(yellow) indicating it’s out of level. To the point that one can visually see with architectural subjects the camera is not level. Can I calibrate this electronic level? Is this normal for the A7rii? My previous camera was extremely precise with this tool.
Using the Metabones IV to connect my Canon tilt-shift lens many, many, many times the camera won’t recognize the f-stop putting the display in a darkened mode not allowing me to fire the shutter. Turning the camera off and then back on brings back the aperture reading. Again is this normal?
Finally over the course of a three day shoot the camera would occasionally crash requiring me to turn the camera off before I could proceed shooting. (my work is slow from a tripod - not high speed fashion work) For a costly camera this does not seem good, is this par for the course or do I have a faulty camera?
Again please understand I am beginning with this camera (I have owned a Sony Mirrorless in the past and don’t remember any of these rough edges) so any insights or advice would be welcoming.
thanks,
Craig
