I have search far and wide. Every website, Sony authorized retailer, Sony authorized repair shop, Sony lens parts supplier, eBay, etc... I have spent weeks searching for a Lens hood for my 24-70mm f/2.8 ZA SSM (Or SSMII). Sony told me they don't make them anymore... To that I asked... "Sony currently manufactures this lens and it comes with this lens hood but Sony doesn't make them anymore"? The guy replied, "what do you mean". REALLY? It's not like Im asking for some special internal parts for a 10yr old lens. At this point I will lose my mind if I get a referral on where to buy one because I guarantee I have checked there. By the way, I have 2 of these Identical lenses and 1 hood. So I got the part number (ALC-SH101) from my hood, search for it online and found one in Adorama's used department. Without hesitation I ordered it, rush shipped it, got it yesterday and it's the wrong one! Sony told me there are several different lens hoods that have the same part #... WOW I'm speechless! Any suggestions or or does anybody have one they want to sell???
