Please help -- I would be most appreciative of any feedback or suggestions.
I had some strange issues with my A7II which has NOT been dropped, spilled on, stored in hot or cold environments, or tossed about:
* first the shutter speed changed randomly in Manual (and all other modes) without me changing it
* after updating firmware, and initializing the camera, the camera behaved normally for one day
* on the next outing the ISO constantly changed on its own, without me touching it, in Manual (and all other modes) -- and I could not set it
As a result, I sent the camera in for service.
Diagnosis: bad "Mounted C Board" (??? I think that is the name of the part the tech named in her phone conversation with me) which they replaced.
I'm concerned as I've only owned the camera for 3 months and have taken excellent care of it.
I have 2 questions:
1. Does anyone know what the "Mounted C Board" is?
2. ..and if the Mounted C Board was bad, is that an indication that I may have a lemon-- that other parts will also go bad as well without reason?
Thank you.
