I recently converted from MFT (GH4) to a7ii with the kit lens. Coming from MFT I am quite happy with the shallow depth of field of the kit lens. But I want a lens that is a little wider and has a lot more tele. So the FE 24-240mm seem like a dream lens for my needs. There is however a catch with the lens (there always is....). In the specs it says that the minimum focus distance of it is 50cm. This will make it quite useless for me since I lot of the time have to focus a bit closer than 50cm. But from experience I have learned that on most lenses (at least on MFT) you can actually focus a lot closer than the stated minimum focus distance. The kit lens (28-70mm) is stated as having a minimum focus distance of 30cm. I am however quite sure that I am able to focus (even with AF in video) much closer than that. I would guess in reality around 15-20cm. Does anyone have the FE 24-240mm and can just test quickly how close they can actually focus on it at 24mm? This would be very helpful in choosing to get this lens or not. Would also have been nice to make a list of the actual closest focus distance of all the FE-lenses here.

I can say the lens is not the best, but it provide a better then acceptable performance as a zoom lens
