October 15, 20241 yr So I've been using this lens for a while on a A6500 and I just upgraded to an A6700 body and can't figure out the correct combo of settings to make my normal use case work. On the A6500 if I set the lens in DMF (Direct Manual Focus Mode) then the ring on the lens would work the zoom until you press and hold the back button focus button, then turning the barrel would go into manual focus mode with peaking. As I use the camera in an underwater housing this is critical when shoot macro with it and wanting to do manual focus to tweak where the focus ends up as you can't use the slider for the powered zoom. On the a6700 it only seems to manual focus or zoom, but you can't use it to do both, does anyone how to make this work the way it used to?
