I've never seen anything to automatically sync the time on the Sony cameras but it would be nice.  I had my A7Rii set two days ahead since I got it and kept forgetting to change it.  Fortunately Lightroom let me shift the time by -24 hours which I did twice.  I discovered it was also 12 seconds ahead of my A7r which I was using side by side so some of my shots were out of order.  Again I used Lightroom for a mass adjust of -12 seconds and all is right now.  ExifGui would have done the same thing but LR was quicker.

I set the Camera time to my watch which has the automatic time sync built in so it's accurate and in sync with my GPS for geo-tagging.

You'd think if Casio and other watch makers can add a global time chip to a tiny watch, camera makers would build them into our cameras.

It is a little strange.. because how can I sync up 3 camera's for a wedding.. best way is to use a computer and sync time with the computer itself.

Really hope there will be a solution soon!

I sync my watches (that don't have auto time sync) and cameras with either www.timeanddate.com , time.is , or my GPS.  I'm usually just syncing one or two at a time so I set the time on the camera(s) to the next minute and then watch whatever time source I'm using and when it rolls over from xx:xx:59 to the next minute, I hit the SET button on the camera and it's synced.  You can easily keep a thumb on the set button of two cameras at a time or just wait for the next minute to roll around and do the next camera.  Unless you're shooting multiple 1000fps cameras, this method will is more than accurate.

I (try) to check/set my cameras once a month as even identical electronics out of the same plant can have different time drift due to the varied manufacturing tolerances.  When I got my new camera I was excited to set it up and didn't bother to set it along side my older body.  After I fixed the obvious 48 hour issue I found out it was 12 seconds ahead of the other body.  I set the two cameras side by side and using my index and little fingers to press the shutter button on both cameras at the same time.  I did this twice and compared the image time in EXIF and determined the 12 seconds I needed to mass shift all the images taken with the new camera.

Maybe we should send Sony support a message and suggest they add a time sync feature to the Play Memories apps for both Phone and Desktop apps.
