I find the owner's manual not very helpful. I have the Quick Pro Camera Guides DVD and it's a little better. Is there a site with detailed explanations of each menu function for this camera?

  #3 http://youtu.be/qJzBHuF_FRg    )and Gary Fong has a detailed guide on his site but it requires a paid subscription, although there are various excerpts from it on his channel.  The best I've found so far is Gary Friedman's book though.  While quite pricey, it's nothing compared to what you've spent on the camera body and lenses etc., so it's worth it.  http://www.friedmanarchives.com/alpha77II/index.htm

It will cost you some money, but Gary Friedman's new guide, available in a variety of formats, explains everything. It's starts from a beginner's premise, but everything is explained exhaustively with recommendations. He distributes a hard copy version through Lulu.com

OK thanks for the help. I registered it and downloaded the A77ii 200+ page help guide. It's better then the paper manual that came in the box. Now I need to watch the videos.
