Is there a possibility for Sony to firmware-update A7iii with birdeye-focus or does it take more datapower then the A7iii don't have?  Yust bought the A7iii together with Sigma's new sport lense 150-600mm and two month's later the A7 4 enter the stage...  and I mostly use it for birding.

I don’t know if it is technically possible. All the Sony cameras with Bird Eye AF use the much faster processor, as far as I know (A1, A7IV, A7RV). Birds vary more than humans, and more than dogs and cats - huge differences from ostrich to sparrow to hummingbird to eagle…

I do, however, think it is unlikely that they will bring it out.

Just buy an a9ii :)
