Sony a3000 dslr will not transfer to PC to view etc even with new memory card  and new lenses.

Make sure you aren’t using a charge-only cable.

Have you used that cable for data transfer in the past? If not, try another cable.

I do not use a cable as the memory plugs into my card reader

I have been advised to Format my memory card but I cannot find appropriate settings for this.
