When I connect my A7sIII to Atomos Ninja v, I have a small picture on my Atomos and the A7sIII monitor screen is turned off!
However, I have made all the HDMI settings, the Atomos has also been updated.

Super easy fix!

go to menu on Sony a7siii

setup -> external output -> HDMI output settings 

then change “Rec. Media dur HDMI Output” to “Off (HDMI Only)
