video quality with aps-c lenses on full frame in crop mode

There are a lot of posts about using aps-c lenses on the full frame bodies but they all seem to be about the quality of stills which is a different thing. I am considering getting one of the power zoom aps-c lenses for my a7ii for use every now and then but not sure about how good this will work in video mode and I have no aps-c lenses to test with. I will need to use aps-c crop mode for this. But not sure how the video quality will be from using just a part of the sensor, and if it is worth it.

 

I have found some footage on youtube and vimeo but would like to see some uncompressed footage before buying anything. Have anyone found an uncompressed file to download anywhere on the web or have experiences with this for video use?
