Not a Sony owner yet but thinking of making the jump from Canon. More of a hobby photographer but looking to step up game.

Have a Canon 6D right now, really want a no bones opinion on using adapters for canon, sigma and tamron glass.

  I see - the claim that the UV filter "prevents bluish tones" relates to photography using film, not digital. Digital cameras are not sensitive to UV, unlike film. The polariser, on the other hand, could be useful to you to cut glare and let your photos show things in the water.
