Hi all,

I just received my new Sony a7 iii and I was so excited until I came across a problem I hope someone is able to help.

I cannot seem to find the video settings for 120 frames on 1080p (I only have up to 100) and on 4k I can only choose 25 frames - no 60 frames is showing.

From the YouTube videos I saw, everyone has a different list to choose compared to mine.

I checked and I have the latest firmware available installed and my memory card (scandisk extreme pro) wouldn't be the problem.

Has anyone came across this same issue or knows how to fix it?

Thank you in advance.

It is confusing...the rotating mode dial has two video choices...the 35mm film icon and the S&Q Icon.  S&Q is for "slow and quick".  Depending upon what dial mode is selected, you will have access in the main movie menu to exposure mode and record settings for each of the two modes (menu camera #2 page 1/9).  And PAL to NTSC.

I was following a YouTube tutorial and made some setting changes and saved them to the 1 on the MR (Memory Recall) Memory.  Does anyone know how to clear those settings?
Location:  Camera Settings I menu, Page 3.
      Thanks!

I just got my new Sony A7 III and am trying to learn all I can about it.  I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask what may be a dumb question:  There are numerous icons displayed on the LCD and in the viewfinder, some ofo which I cannot figure out their meaninig.  Is there anywhere that I can find a list of all of these possible icons?
      Thanks in advance.

My background is actually a Minolta camera user. Started with a Minolta SRT 101. Later upgraded to Minolta 700si with 5400HS Then MAXXUM 7 finally MAXXUM 7D & HVL-F56AM. Recently, I have purchased a Sony A7 MK3. I have bought a LAEA4 adapter to use my A mount lenses. I have 2 older flashes (5400 HS & HVL-F56AM) is there I way I can use these flashes? if so how?  I am seeking your help to invest further.

Hi! This is my first post.
      I just bought a Sony a6300 and i have a problem while recording 4k video. I'm using a Sony 55-210mm lenses.
When i select 4K Video and the options: 24p 100M (super 35mm) and 24p 60M (super 35mm) some black bars (stripes) appears on the video. (i'll attach stills).
This is "resolved" by making higher the ISO around 6400-20,000, but then at 25,600 the black bars appears again (and stronger).
I don't know if there is something with my configuration (i haven't changed a lot of things since i bought it, almost everything is on default), or if it is another kind of problem.
I used also the 16-50 kit lenses and the stripes appear too.
      Thanks for your help!
*The one with the BEAR is 24p 60M, the one with the purple curtains is 24p 100M.

      Hi!
Tried to search the www and here for this but couldn't really find any info regarding the 3 series A7 bodies.
Problem is the following: when I hit the record button on my A7RIII in 4k/100M mode, the Feelworld F570 external monitor via HDMI goes black. 4k HDMI output is set to 24fps as the F570 doesn't handle 60fps. I can see the HDMI output on the monitor until hitting record and can also play back 4k files and see them on the F570 but have no live picture during 4k recording.
1080p is fine at all fps levels.

      I have tried:
      - setting HDMI resolution to auto, 2160/1080p, 1080p and 1080i
      - using different HDMI cables with different data transfer ratings
      - 30p and 24p 60M modes
      - changing gamma assist mode or turning it off
      - going through the menu of the A7R3
      - going through the menu of the F570 multiple times
      with no success.

Sony manual claims the following by HDMI settings:
"* Images will not appear on the monitor of the camera if you record movies while the camera is connected to and HDMI device with file format set to XAVC S 4K" but actually the monitor of the camera displays what I'm recording HDMI doesn't.

I'm totally out of options here, anyone have any ideas?

      Thanks in advance!
