A7iii Power via USB not fully inserted.??

Hi,

I have a new A7iii.

The lead supplied ,a USB doesn't seem to go right into the camera... there is about 3 mm of the metal end in view, it feels like it doesn't go in solidly... it works and charges, but seems a bad design... also the plastic cover for the socket is a pain, cos it gets in the way... though that is NOT what is stopping the USB cable to go all the way ..any thoughts

I might have a similar problem with my newly bought RMT-VP1K. The plug (multi) doesn't fully insert and the remote doesn't work. See attached picture.

I managed to get it to work: Had to re-insert the batteries on the remote after changing the frequency canal. (i.e. the plug indeed doesn't fully insert)
