Best external monitor app for ipad

Hey guys. I'm new to photography and I'm old (57) so I'm technically challenged,,,lol.

 

So I just got a used A6300 to replace my Panasonic G5.  I make little youtube reviews and how-to's. Nothing real professional,,, yet. I'm working on it.

 

I want to use my ipad mini2 as an external monitor so I can set up the shot, and watch myself as I showcase an item. I don't care if I connect the two wireless or wired. If wired would eliminate any lag that would be ok.

 

Right now I'm using the smart remote app. It's not really doing it for me. I thought I would try the field monitor app but my son says you will loose the slog, and he thinks you really need it.

 

So I was just wanting other app suggestions. I would prefer something that I could have full touch screen functions on my ipad.
