Purchased this lens a couple of weeks ago. Never really owned a prime in this focal length. It's been a lot of fun shooting with it.

I really like the colors here (and the composition). I've had good experiences with Minolta glass--28mm f/2.8, 58mm f1.4, a bunch of 50mm lenses--, but I haven't yet had a chance to check out that focal length. Nice work, Andy C!

The manual Minolta 35mm f2.8 is one of my favourite lenses. One tip, though, is that the "Celtic" line was a budget line sold in the US. The better lenses were branded "Rokkor-X" in the US. They were better made and had better coating. So, if you end up using the lens a lot, it may be worth upgrading. They're not expensive in either version, so you might just as well go for the pro lens, right?
