Hi

though I would introduce myself. I am just taking the plunge into the world of dslr cameras I've obviously started off using compact cameras and then moved onto bridge cameras. I've just bought a second hand sony alpha 200. It did not come with a battery or charger. So I had no idea if it worked. So I bought a battery and charger off ebay. I already had a cf card but when I put the battery in there was a loud clicking noise from inside the camera that lasted about 2 seconds. Then when I turned it on the same noise happend. Set time and date came on the lcd screen for about one second then camera error came on. I took the lense off and took the battery out when I put the battery back in with no lense on I noticed it was the mirror that was going up and down about 5 or 6 times and it was this that was causing the clicking noise. Does anyone know why it is doing this and why I'm getting the camera error message. Any help would be much appreciated
