I bought a sony dslr A200 at a sale. The man had no knowledge about it, I charged it and inserted the compact flash card and the message " unable to use this card " thinking something maybe wrong with the card I perched a memory stick duo adapter and stick. I got the same message. Am I doing something wrong or is the camera just done? Please help

I know nothing about the Sony A200, but I had an old Canon that couldn't use a large memory card..can't remember the specifics, but probably worth trying another card and not the 64GB variety!

What sizes are the cards? I read somewhere that a 16 Gb CF or an 8 Gb MS should work.

 

Probably worth having a look to see if any of the pins at the bottom of the card slot is broken. Wouldn't be the first time...
