Hello,

during a friend hair cut session at David Coiffure Nantes,

i used A6000 + Sigma 30mm f1.4 @1.7 - iso 160 - 1/200e

I like this work very much, too.

 

It conveys a sense of "diligence" and precision", which I like. Cropping the face of the "victim" and of the coiffeur like you did gives a very good balance (imo) of the intimate interaction between the two persons involved.

The sad look on the face of the victim, although taking up a considerable portion of the image, helps to distract from what the actor in the background, although blurred, is doing.

 

On a side note, but not unrelated: I always thought, that the use of these cutting machines was considered "bad craftsmanship" among coiffeurs. Which of course the result of his work disproves ...

 

If I was a coiffeur, I would very much appreciate to be depicted this way.
