Sigma is half the cost practically and not a great deal in it. Sony does have the edge as it were but I guess it depends on your composition and enlargement requirements.

 

Half the cost?

900$ for the lens + 250$ for the adapter = 1150$

 

The Sony is 1300$, so you save 150$. Not exactly half.

 

Not to mention the weight difference:

Sigma + MC11: >1kg

Sony: 660g

In Europe the Sigma is about €700 and the Sony is about €1300. So, if you use the adapter for more than one lens it may be cost-effective.

 

That said, I've never been a fan of the Sigma and €1300 is quite reasonable for a native Sony lens of this type.

Is there any sharpness comparison between 24-70 GM and 24-105 f4 ?

I'd like to get the 24-70 gm but for this price i can get de 24-105 + 16-35 f4.
