Hello All!

I've been reading here for a while and am having trouble deciding on my next lens.. hopefully someone can help with the decision!

As the title says really, I'm torn between the Sony e mount 35mm 1.8 and the Sigma 30mm 1.4...

I'm getting the lens almost entirely for video, and low light at that. it will also be a walk around photo lens from time time..

I have tried the sony in-store and was pleased with it: light weight, bokeh looked nice and it has OSS which is kind of a big deal as I will be shooting video handheld.. I know the a6500 has IBIS but I don't know if ill miss the OSS on the Sigma..

As for the sigma, I've never used a non native lens and am concerned about AF performance and as i said above, it's stability... however it is considerably cheaper than the sony and seems to be very highly rated..

Anyone have any thoughts? Anyone tried the sigma? Other lens choices?

Thanks for reading!
