Started using a small softbox with the camera mounted flash, which I think is working out well. Still need to move the flash off camera ... but its a start.

 

Sony A7ii, Zeiss Milvus 2/50M @f8 (at 1:2, minimum focus distance), ISO100, AutoWB, Sony F43M + Softbox.

 

Using ON1 Rraw ... PP is Sunshine, Glow (Rich-Glow) masked out from flower, Colour Enhancer (Fall preset) with extra vibrance and a Vignette (Big softy) - all at various reduced strengths - which is how things work with On1 Raw Presets.
