Discrepancy of light levels between photo and view finder

Recommended Posts

Newb question,

     Shooting on a A6000.

I get every thing set just as I want it, in focus, light looks just how I want it in the finder, I take the picture and... The image that is shown to me does not have the same light levels as when I am looking through the view finder or screen. I remember this happening with the point and shoots I used before I got this camera, but is there a way to change a setting so that what I am seeing in the finder before I take the picture is what the picture will look like once it is captured?

If this is unclear, I can try to restate it.

Many thanks
