Video plays on A7RII but does not show on file list to MacBook

Can anyone offer recommendations on why my A7RII plays back videos on the external monitor but video files do not show up on HD card when plugged into my MacBook for download? Photos do show up on the HD card when plugged into the Mac just not the video files.

Tested on a macbook to see if anything unusual happens.... brought up stills immediately from the SDXC card, but I guess its similar to working with windows, where you need to bury down to the where the video file lives to play them.

Photos live in the DCIM folder and get found automatically.

With video it depends on what format you shoot as to where the clip lives.  I normally shoot XAVCs and its buried under private>M4ROOT>CLIP
