Frame Rate showing up incorrectly in Premiere

So when I upload to premiere my frame rates are never accurate. If I shoot in 29.97 and 120 everything will say 29.97 and sometimes I've even had it say 59.94 when I didn't even shoot that frame rate. Why is this not importing correctly??

What version of Premiere are you using? What PC format are you using?

 

It's sounds like Premiere is automatically recompressing your videos.

 

Premiere is in my opinion the best consumer grade photo editing software. But it's also very complicated. You need someone better at Premiere than me. I'd suggest an Adobe Premiere forum.

I'm using an Imac late 2013. As for Premiere I am using the latest version of CC. I'll look into  a premiere forum as well. Thanks for the feedback.
