Another fine lens would be the Rokinon/Samyang 12mm/F2.0 NCS CS. It's affordable and provides a good wide angle of view. It's manual though. But that should be for no concern for landscape photography.

Hello,

I have the sony a6000 and I am really interested in landscape photography!

I would like someone to recommend a good "wide angle lens" for me! Can

someone give me some advice!?

Thanks you, much appreciated!!! :)

Advice ? For Landscape ? My advice is "Avoid the wide angle

assumption". Have you done many landscapes with normal or

"portrait" lenses ? Any landscape vista thaz at a distance will

be imaged as a wide view, even when shot with a telephoto.

Ultrawide perspective applied to landscapes typically imposes

the "Camera Club Cliche" look. If you are a CC competitor you

certainly need to execute the in-demand cliches to score well.

But if you want to explore and expand your vision, relegate the

ultrawides to what they are intended for: Interiors and cramped

views of large architectural subjects.

A fine shorter than normal lens for landscapes with the APSC

format would be lenses like the 19mm Sigma or 20mm Sony.

There's a whole heap of vintage 24mm SLR lenses that you

can adapt, and these will barely nick your budget :-)  Also if you

use a polarizer to help unveil your colors, you will get a uniform

result all across the format with lenses in this FL range ... and

budget-wise again, the polarizer will not be huge and pricey.

You can even pick up cheaply an old polarizer that no one else

would buy cuz it's not a Circular Polarizer. I've noticed that it's a

shamefully well-kept "secret" that you don't need a CP. [Those

are for certain SLR designs ... not even all SLRs].

The best lens for your purposes (and the A 6000) is the Sony E 4,0/10-15 mm OSS. In my opinion  it is one of the best wide-angle zooms ever, regardless of the manufacturer! Especially in the WW area, it often comes from every focal length millimeter and there a zoom is of enormous advantage.

Alternatively, but more expensive, the Zeiss Touit 2.8/12 mm is recommended. It has no image stabilization (OSS), what ist not necessarily required at this focal range!

To the other alternatives (Samyang etc.) I can´t make any statements, but they have no autofokus.

Good luck!
