Firmware update 1.21 for A7/M2/R/S/6000

Sony has just released an 1.21 firmware update for the A7/M2/R/S/6000 products. For the moment, the update is only available on the Sony Japan site, but as usual, it should be deployed to North America and Europe sooner. Note that the update files are the same for the whole world.

Changelog which seems to concern better support for new 24/240 lens :

I just got a refurbish a7m2 and it shipped with 1.21 on it but on the Sony US website still shows 1.20 as the latest

This was put out in April still not in US what gives.  Makes me think there is something wrong with it.

Thank you so much for this information. I spend ours online, and on many different computers, to try the update of my SEL2870, without any success. I was always stuck at the "follow computer instructions", without understanding it did'nt work. It happens that doing this update was the key to get my lens update working.

Wow since April?  Damn near makes me want to find out how to read my firmware out of my US a7ii and provide it as a binary for everybody else.

I brought a new A7ii and it also shipped with 1.21. Hopefully this update will be available soon

You can check what version you have from the menus.

I just checked my Rm2 purchased September 1st and it only has v1.0 (I've got some upgrading to do - especially if I want the 24-240!)

So, I hate to throw a wrench in the works, but I just looked at the Sony Support site for ILCE7RM2 drivers and that says it is at 1.10.  What are you guys smokin'?  (Or tell me what I've entered worng.)

Oops.  I see the error of my ways...  Looking at the thread header ("A7/M2/R/S/6000") I accidentally read "R2" in there as well and that is model I am referring to.  So I'm not so far off after all, but I was wrong in questioning the thread so far.  I uploaded v1.1 to my RII in place of my v1.0 so I am good and you can ignore my erroneous posts herein.  Good work guys.
