Sonya6000+ Al-EA4

Recommended Posts

Native e-mount lenses will always be faster, and the LA-EA4 is disproportionately bulky and heavy, especially with a-mount glass on it, not to mention the cost. While the lens selection is currently only average, unless you have a collection of a-mount glass already, invest into new e-mount lenses for the best performance.

Agreed absolutely about the price, but I don't find the LAEA2-or-4 bulky,

even on a Nex body. In fact I've found it quite ergonomic. As to it being

"especially" bulky with A-mount glass on it, since A-mount is the only

glass I use on it, that would never have occurred to me.

I also like that the adapter provides a tripod socket that is better located

than the socket on the camera body, and that when I'm changing lenses

the sensor is not exposed. The SLT mirror gets exposed, but is less of a

dust catcher than the SLT in A-mount cameras cuz it's upside down, and

if something really bad happens to it, I don't hafta send my camera body

to the notorious Sony service cartel.
