Camera setting for a6300 sounds like shutter is bracketing

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure what setting I change or when I changed it but my a6300 now sounds like it's bracketing shots every time I take a photo.

ISO is set to AUTO

DRO/AUTO HDR is set to off

Picture Effect and Picture Profile is set to off

I hear it when I put the drive mode into single shot. I've tried resetting the defaults but that didn't seem to fix anything.

Anyone else having this problem or anyone know how to fix it?

That's not much info.

Give it some thorough wringing out.

Frinstintz, one thing [out of many] is to manually set

the exposure to about three seconds, and then listen.

Is it running a sequence of long exposures ? Or is it

only one long exposure, accompanied by a cluster of

quick shutter clicks ? Or does the three sec exposure

sound normal ?

It seems to me that you have the ISO set to MFNR (multi-frame noise reduction) Auto instead of REGULAR Auto. The MFNR setting is directly above the regular Auto setting.
