Don't worry, new A-mount cameras will come this year ;)

Speed and accuracy of auto-focus is a function of the lens design. I would not expect a screw focus lens to auto-focus as quickly as a SAM lens and certainly not as fast as an SSM motored lens.

But I agree with the comments of wide focus area along with the auto-focus speed based on the native ability of the lens.

So the latest "smarts" like Eye-focus tracking should work on all native A mount lenses with the above caveat of "native" ability of the lens.

Like many here, I have a lot of $$$ invested in good Sony A mount glass. IF/When Sony came out with an A99ii native A mount and also the A9 with an A mount adapter that provides all the features of the current native FE mount lenses, then I would give serious consideration to moving to the A9 and quite possibly invest in native Sony FE lenses later on.

It all depends on Sony's ability to create a larger FE mount body that provides all the FE functionality to A mount lenses. (Unlike Ltgk20, I do not own any screw focus lenses.)
