Very effective emulating a 35-75 for APSC.

The OEM lens hood is to wide angle for the

APSC format. The hood you see is just right

and is much older than the lens, and wears

the original classic Minolta logo type. I really

like that old logo better than the newer ones.

It not only looks odd, but it can take odd pix.

This is a sort of pinhole image, the "pinhole"

being about 10x30 inches, of a tree. Natcherly

the image is upside down. I think there may be

some optics involved, other than the pinhole,

to cast the image onto the wall. The image is

higher up on the wall than the height of the

"pinhole" on the opposite wall. IOW, the tree

image is projected upwards as it crosses the

room. The image you see is at the juncture of

a wall and the ceiling.

Therefor the tree image is coming from some

location fairly low to ground outside [this is a

first floor interior room]. Also, the sun is on

the opposite side of the building, such that it

could not shine any beams thru that "pinhole"

at that time of day. Soooo ... I speculate that

the optic involved is the curvature of some car

windscreen across the street, further distant

than the tree.
