Sony A6000 + Contax 90mm F2.8 Sonnar T*

Recommended Posts

Hello :)

Recently I bought Sony A6000 and become addicted to the old manual lenses.

A lot of character and atmosphere.

I would like to share some of my photos with my "new" Contax 90mm F2.8 Sonnar T*

(I will update the thread)

Will add more photos.

If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer.

To be honest this is one of the most difficult lens to work with.

- No optical stabilisation

- 135mm equivalent

- the focus ring is on the adapter: it is tiny and stiff

- because all above shooting moving people is a big challenge (for me)

But sometimes the results compensate all cons :)

I am not able to edit the tittle of the thread. If some moderator could edit and remove the "sony A6000" bit will be nice :)

Recently I chaged to Sony A7RII and I do not want to create another thread for the same lens, it's better here and anyone can contribute as well.

Here is one from last night:

Have you noticed any issues at infinity focus? I'm using the same lens on an A7R2 with the techart (latest firmware), and whilst the autofocus works very well on nearby targets it seems to overshoot at infinity.

      Hi,
I have a A6000 with a SEL35F18 lens. About a week ago I noticed the camera/lens will not focus on anything that is further than 4 meters away. It says on the display it is on infinity. It’s like the sensor on the focus ring needs resetting or something.
      Any suggestions would be appreciated
      Thank you
      Jacques

I recently bought V860II-S flashpoint/godox flash for my a6000 and it work really well on camera. But I can't make it work off camera as a optical slave. Does a6000 pop up flash not capable of triggering off camera flash?

I'm an underwater photographer and i'm wondering if I can set up exposure bracketing (in any of the 3 or 5 shot configurations) while I have an external flash connected?
The bracketing works fine without the flash connected, but as soon as I turn it on/connect it, the bracketing stops working.
Perhaps there's a particular set of setting that need to be configured to allow this to happen, or perhaps it's just not possible.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
