I'm looking to pair a Canon TS-E 17 with my Sony A7II. Since it's a manual lens, I don't need all the bells and whistles of a $400 Metabones IV adapter. BUT, the Metabones IV is the only adapter I've seen that specifically addresses the fact that it was re-designed to accommodate tilt-shift lenses. I'm afraid if I buy a cheaper adapter, that it will hinder the full use of the TS-E 17 lens.

Anyone have any suggestions or opinions?

I've got the Metabones Smart Adapter IV as well. AF is a bit slow, or non-existing if you forget to push the button on the adapter.

Just read about a new Kipon adapter supposed to come out.. Curious how that one will perform. Should be about USD 285, if I remember right..

Ah, here - sorry, it's mft, not Sony E-Mount ,-(
