Traditionally I'd shoot at f/1.8 or f/2.0 but I decided to stop down in "A" mode until I found a level of background I liked, it ended up being at f/5.6

Image is related but the discussion is more the point here.

Every year, I review my year of photography. I look at it and get a bit depressed. I decided that I had become monotonous with my photography. When I joined the full-frame life, I became intoxicated to f/1.2 to 2.2 for creamy bokeh or shooting at 185~200mm at f/2.8 to melt foregrounds and backgrounds into butter. I decided to rethink my personal values of "bokeh" and decided that I want to obtain a "cleaner" style.

My motto for the year is "just enough".

How much is enough bokeh for you?
