What happened to the Hoodman Hoodeye Eyecup?

The Hoodman Hoodeye Eyecup for the A7Rii and A7Sii was advertised months ago - I think my preorder was in September. It's still unavailable.

 

It looks like it may never happen and not sure why... and I havent found a good alternative.

B&H shows an expected availability date of November 24th.

Not on the B&H website I am looking at... it once said Oct 22nd and this was removed and replaced with NEW ITEM - COMING SOON. Ship Time: Not available

Note: This is the glasses model, but I bet they ship very close to each other, if not the same day.

I don't remember where I found this info but I ordered a replica of a Nikon DK-19 Rubber eyecup. Remove the plastic ring and stretch the rubber over the existing viewfinder. In my opinion this kind of eyecup should have been standard on a Sony A7 (II,R,S).
