hmcindie
Hey guys! We just participated in the Sony competition to win an FS5. Shot this little "farming" video on a little farm in the middle of Finland. Slowmo with the rx10 ii and rest with the A7s (mark i). Would love to hear your opinions! I think the rx10 was surprisingly good for this kinda stuff. SAR_admin
Advertisement Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Hi hmcindie, Take a look here Slowmotion Explosive Farming - Sony A7s & RX10 ii. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
holmes4
While I liked the video, the explosions seemed sort of "tacked on" - it wasn't at all clear where they would have come from. What was your idea here?
Snowfun
I thought it lacked a story - which relates to the previous point. Yes, there may be "no limits" to having fun in a tractor but I'd have liked to have seen more of a theme. It needs a relationship between the actions of the tractor/driver and the explosions otherwise I agree: they are there - impressive - but why? Did everyone survive?! pilsburypie
Like it - a bit weird but fun all the same with some nice shots.
hmcindie
Thanks for the comments guys! I figured a lot of competition videos would feature a clear theme with narration, emotions and sports. (Usually a winning formula). This time I just decided to say "bugger it" and do something that was more on the Jackass / Fun- aspect and just focus on a couple of key visuals. Tractor on fire under moonlight, 500fps slowmotion shot of the explosion skimming the surface of the tractor and no narration or explanation. It's a bit different than others so that may work to its advantage. Or disadvantage, hard to say. If we had done a narration, it would've been with a really bad english accent!
