November 7Nov 7 Hello all, I bought a second hand a6500 for safari next year but I also want to use it for astronomy photography with my sony fe200-600 lens. I am looking for an intervalometer that guaranteed will work with the a6500? I tried amazon and the information about compatibility is dire and often misses some models or states plain wrong models. I tried ai and it is mostly talking out of its backside and contradicts itself eventually. I already bought a sony remote for it because it claimed by high and low it has a build in intervalometer, it doesn’t so I wasted my money. Please anybody who has experience with intervalometers and my camera, please tell me which ones work because I am not going to buy anotherone only to find out again that it does not work. Many thanks already. Kees
November 9Nov 9 Author Update! can anybody confirm from experience that this "Pixel TW-283 S2, 2,4 GHz" will work?
November 9Nov 9 Author Or would the JJC for Sony be better? This one is actually the only one so far that I looked at that mentiones my Sony alpha ILCE6500, soooo this should not be rocketscience but the texts on Amazon are often wrong or incomplete.
November 9Nov 9 You do know that Amazon offers generous free return service? Just order any intervalometer that states compatibility with your camera model, try it out and if it doesn't work send it back and try a different brand.

Yes if I do not get any concrete answers here that confirm either way I will have to resort to that.

I doubt anyone here will respond with any real information. I would contact a dealer like B&H Customer Service and ask them.

I have a few JJC products and I find them really good so that might be a good one to try.

If I buy direct from them it will take months and I pay ridiculous import fees and duties, as well as aggravation from our outdated import systems. I am afraid I am stuck with simply trying one from Amazon that claims it is suitable, and return it if it is not.

Yes I have several lens bags and their equipment belt, they are very good. I just have to try one and hope their electronics are also working. If not return it with Amazon return policy.

Well, I didn't say to go to B&H, I said I would try a store 'like' B&H, using them as an example. There has to be an online seller available to you with the knowledge needed to get you over the hump.
