April 14Apr 14 I've been planning on taking my Sony a7 II on a canoe trip but yesterday I noticed a tiny, bright red spot in both the viewfinder and back monitor. Apparently, one of the pixels has gone wild. It's too late to send it in for repairs. Should it be easy to remove post processing?

April 14Apr 14 Yes. Easily done. See if there's a MAP PIXELS option on the camera that might identify & disable problematic pixels. Photo editing apps have dust / pixel correcting feature as does Davinci Resolve with its 'dead pixel' setting. Not every image will need correction, just the ones where it's obvious. Usually cloning nearby pixels is enough. The main problem is since YOU know where to look for the culprit. Most viewers will never spot the issue unless you point it out to them , so don't.

Thank you. I'll try a couple of your suggestions.
