slow drive speed

Hiya,   looked over the camera (a Sony A7iv) several times and cant work out why but I am only getting about 6 to 7 frames per second on continuous H+    what have I overlooked?

6 FPS is the limit on the A7 IV shooting RAW or Lossless Compressed RAW. You can get more (up to 10 I think) if you shoot Lossy RAW, jpeg, or HEIF.

And there are other factors that can reduce the FPS too -- and they add up.  Check the "footnotes" in the camera manual.  These are usually the points marked with an * at the bottom of the page -- and often unread by the user.
