Hello :)
I'm trying to decide between one of these lenses for a Sony A6700. This lens will mostly be for video but also photography. I want to film some music videos, vlogs, talking head videos in the style of a beauty guru/tech reviewer (holding up items etc). I will be pairing it with a Sony 50mm F1.8 & potentially something else.
I'm having a very tough time deciding which to go with. I have an obsession with small tech, I'm still using an iPhone 13 mini & would like my kit to be as small as possible. I'm coming from an A7C with Tamron 17-28 F2.8 which despite being considered a "compact" kit, I found absolutely massive, heavy & not pleasant to carry around vlogging. Though both the Sony & Sigma are considered compact lenses, the Sony seems noticeably smaller. The Sony is 43% lighter & 9mm shorter (without factoring in that the Sigma's zoom is external (reversed) so vlogging at the widest angle the gap would be larger.

However, the Sony is an F4 and the Sigma is an F2.8. This is the biggest hangup about the Sony for me. Would the Sony still be capable of getting some degree of background blur when focusing on up close items? How big of a difference would there be between the two in their bokeh? My main concern is that I want to be able to shoot videos where I set my autofocus settings to mimic "Product Showcase mode" where I hold up a product and it focuses on it while blurring out the background. Would the F4 be incapable of getting any blur at all? Also when walking around shooting handheld, not filming myself, I pick up a product and hold it up close to the lens, would I get any background blur? I know you're never going to get the creamiest bokeh on an ultrawide but I want to know how big of a gap there would be between the two lenses in this. I would also be filming in low light occasionally, like vlogging in restaurants or walking around city at night but in places that are fairly well lit in a downtown type environment.

Is the autofocus performance as good on the Sigma as the Sony? Does the Sigma still take full advantage of all of the smart features of the Sony? Fast autofocus performance in video is one of my top priorities

The Sony also has powerzoom which I'd appreciate since I'm mostly a video shooter. I also like that it zooms internally, not only keeping it smaller but it's helpful when using a gimbal which I will be for music videos. Something about it being a native lens just "feels" more premium to me, especially since it's a G lens. And as silly as it sounds I much prefer the "aesthetic" of the Sony lens, perhaps I care too much about the look of my gear though lol. I really have no idea which to choose, please help!

Also I know some may suggest the Sony 11mm F1.8 instead, however I really want a zoom and I love the exaggerated dramatic ultrawide look and I do notice a fairly meaningful difference in the 15mm vs 16.5mm full frame equivalent. I care more about that focal difference than the lowlight/bokeh.

Thank you
