This is my alpha 33.In my time with it, it has had a pink screen and does not want to take a picture. If I take time and turn it on and of it will work but there will be some pinkish noise. Is there any solution to this. I have been searching around and I have found someone in the same situation as me but there is no solution or explanation on why it happened. Here is same problem that this has to

This could be the sensor or the Semi-transparent mirror, or just something in the electronics that has failed.

Try to narrow it down:

Is it in the viewfinder too, or just the rear screen?

If just the rear screen, then it's the screen.

If in both, then it's a problem with the sensor, mirror, or deeper in the camera electronics.

You can try a reset, which is in the toolbox menu and see if that helps. If not, it's likely repairs would be more cost prohibitive, it would be far less expensive to just purchase another one.

Well, that stinks.

One problem you may have in trying to get it fixed is in finding parts. The camera was released 14 years ago, and you may find the only way to get parts is with a donor camera. And even if it's repairable you'd still have a 14-year-old camera with old replacement parts. You can contact a camera repair shop and see what they say.

It's unfortunate, but my recommendation would be to look for a replacement camera and forget this one.

Good luck in whatever you decide, let us know how it works out.

I see it the other way round, I would find a replacement and keep the old one for spare parts.

Which makes sense provided you are capable of or know someone who can perform the repairs. You can buy a working model on eBay for $150 in the US, I don't think you could even pay a shop to determine what the problem is for that much. 🤷‍♀️
