New user from Michigan

New to the forum, but not new to photography. Found the forum while doing a search for something a little slower than the norm, this place seems likely. 

I've been into photography for a long time, going back to a Kodak Brownie in the late 1960's. Cut my 35mm teeth on a Pentax K-1000 and moved to a Minolta Maxxum 7000 when it was released in 1985. Fell away from photography when the kids were small and 'home video' became possible, but came back after a while. 

Currently shooting Sony cameras and all manner of lenses. I'm a gearhead but not necessarily a dedicated fan, I'll use whatever gets the results I want. Lenses range from old A-Mount Minoltas to Samyang/Tamron/Sony in E-Mount. 

Looking forward to getting to know the place and members.
