I'm looking at this: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00012101

which explains that with bracketing, it "shoots three images with different exposures and then overlays the bright areas of the under exposed image and the dark areas of the over exposed image to create an image with an extended range from highlight to shadow". Great! So, where is the resulting composite image?  I shoot with 3 brackets and I get 3 images, where is the composite supposed to be found?

It doesn't state that a composite is created - and it isn't. You have to do that by yourself out of the 3 pictures, e.g. in Lightroom.
