A7Sii: Strange Line on sensor - faulty, or to be expected?

Hey everyone, nice to meet you!

I've just got an A7Sii used and have noticed something strange. I took some shots with no lens (my lenses haven't arrived yet), to analyze banding on different gammas.

The sensor appears to be divided in to two blocks of varying brightness, with a hard vertical line that separates them in the exact center of the frame.

I imagine this would be too subtle to see in regular photos and video, but it becomes apparent in smooth gradients (although I had to slam the gamma in editing to make it visible it in the shot below)

Anyone know what this is? Or, if you have an A7Sii, verify to see if yours does it as well?

Answered my own question! It seems the Sony Exmor is a stitched sensor and this is a common artifact. I thought I heard something about removing it in a firmware update but I can't find that source anymore
